Medium Density Fibreboard
MDF is an engineered panel known for its smooth and uniform routable core. Consisting of wood fibers and a resin combination, it is formed into a homogenous sheet, hot pressed, sanded, and finally cut to size.
Our MDF from Plum Creek and is created from prime western inland softwoods such as Ponderosa Pine, Spruce, Larch, and Douglas Fir. Medium Density Fibreboard is a double refined board that is constructed of smaller particles of wood fibre compressed to a more uniform density than other panels with less minderal contaimationation and less silica. This makes it easier to cut and shape, while the edges remain homogenous, clean, and smooth.
