All Central Hardwoods’ millwork operations
are consolidated in our Dallas location, a specialized facility
engineered for optimum efficiency.
The primary operations – warehousing,
rough mill, and finish mill – are bridged together in a
seamless complex where we process raw materials, work-in-progress
and finished goods
proficiently with job-specific material-handling equipment.
The
Rough Mill consists of double head planers, gang- and straight-line
rip saws, and resaws. The material is blanked to the proper
size and then transferred to the moulding operations.
The Finish
Mill consists of grinding and set-up rooms, as well as moulding
equipment. Once a shop drawing is in hand, it is
scanned into a CAD system, from which a template is produced.
This template is then inserted into high-precision grinding
equipment from which the knives are ground in the moulder
heads.
